Vint Cerf

Birth: June 23, 1943

Major Academic Events: Vent Cerf got a bachelor's degree in Mathematics, then masters and finally doctorate. Was awarded the A.M. Turing Award which is the highest honor in a computer science career. He was also awarded the Draper prize which is given to people who have made major engineering achievements. Known for being a pioneer of the internet and a founding father of TCP/IP.

contributions to computer science: Considered one of the founders of the Internet. He was a Co designer of TCP/IP and the scales of the internet. Worked for the United States Department of Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. He discovered new technologies to assist the making of internet products and services.
